Both also have poor sound quality. Panasonic seem to get good reviews but why are they SO ugly. Along with the answering machine unit, both handsets repeatedly dropped calls stating 'unable to find base' whilst I was no more than three feet from the base. We have had both units for at least two years and I am going to place them in the trash this week.
I am in a new home with awkwardly placed outlets and this phone solves those problems. This one will receive my cell phone calls as well, so I am covered when I am home. I replaced a Siemens phone which was not easy to set up or figure out. The fact that I don't have to have outlets for each handset is great. I bought this phone with four additional handsets. It is easy to set up, looks great and works superbly. I highly recommend it.
It is hard to understand when using the speakerphone and just does not feel like it is built for a lot of use. The features are great, but the overall quality of the phone is poor. I would not recommend this phone to anyone who uses their phone a lot.
This is as good as it gets.while nothing is perfect this is super next to the other phones out there, looking to buy more of the same Richard E Cervi CEO/ERS
It lights up my bedroom at night with an eerie blue glow. My calls are short and few.My gripe with this phone is that the blue charging light is extremely bright. However, black panties covering the base of my phone kills the cool factor & sleek look of the Vtech LS5105. Love the phone and the features. Everything works fine although I can't agree or disagree with the other users regarding the short battery life. I have put some black undies over the blue light to darken the room and that works.
